E.P. Carrillo La Historia Encore click picture to close
Rated 96 & #1 Best Cigar of 2018. The Encore's rose-gold band may look familiar, as it’s the same one found on 2014’s La Historia, only in a different color. As the name suggests, this cigar is the "encore" performance to La Historia.
The filler tobaccos deep inside are from Nicaragua's three primary growing regions - Estelí, Condega and Jalapa - and all of it comes together in the Majestic, a robusto of immaculately detailed flavor that ranges from oak and tea to caramel sweetness with tangy citrus pops of candied orange peel. It's elegant, refined and nuanced from first puff to last, but is also the culmination of a long career in tobacco and the result of a man who was never afraid to follow his instincts... read more and order
My Father La Opulencia Toro click picture to close
Rated 95 and Ranked #2 Cigar of 2018. Each puff of this dark, box-pressed cigar leaves refined impressions of oak, chocolate and sweet licorice on the palate. The long finish resounds of anise and nougat. Body: Medium to Full
The My Father La Opulencia blend is a marriage of two opulent tobaccos with splendid provenance - Mexican and Nicaraguan. The wrapper is a dark Mexican San Andrés that the company calls Rosado Oscuro. There are two Nicaraguan binders underneath, one Corojo and one Criollo, both of which bolster the body of the cigar. And then there’s the filler, a combination of Cuban seed tobaccos grown by the Garcia family, owners and makers of the My Father brand. The Garcias have a number of farms in Nicaragua, and La Opulencia shows off the quality of the leaves grown on these tobacco plantations, known as El Pedrero, Las Lometas and La Bonita.... read more and order
Oliva Series V Belicoso click picture to close
Rated 95 & #3 Best Cigar of 2017. Ten years ago, Oliva Cigar Co. released its Serie V, which was the strongest, most full-bodied cigar the company ever created. But it was also impressive in its ability to render layers of richness and complexity in spite of its power. Ten years later, we found ourselves with the same excellent product. It’s difficult enough to maintain such quality and consistency, but even more of an accomplishment when you consider this: Oliva has been acquired by a larger company... read more and order
My Father The Judge by Pepin Garcia Grand Robusto click picture to close
Rated 93 points and #7 Best Cigar of 2017. It’s big. It’s bold. And it’s box-pressed. Made by the Garcia family in Nicaragua, My Father’s The Judge Grand Robusto can be an imposing cigar, just by way of its girth. This is certainly a powerful smoke, but it isn’t just strong for the sake of being strong... read more and order
Rocky Patel Sungrown click picture to close
Rated 95 points and #2 Cigar of the Year 2016. Unlike the original line, which is still made in Honduras, the new version is made in Nicaragua at Patel's TaviCusa factory. It's also rolled in a dark, Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. This new interpretation was dubbed the Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro, and the Robusto is a great representation of the full-bodied blends coming out of Nicaragua today ... read more and order
E.P. Carrillo Seleccion Oscuro Piramides Royal Oscuro click picture to close
Rated 94 and #4 Best Cigar of 2016. What can someone like Perez-Carrillo give the cigar world that he hasn’t already? The answer is the E.P. Carrillo Selección Oscuro Piramides Royal. It’s dark and imposing, but don’t let that scare you. The blend isn’t as aggressive ... read more and order
Padron Serie 1926 No 90 Tubo Natural click picture to close
Rated 94 and #5 Best Cigar of 2016. Whether it be an anniversary or an important benchmark, it seems that the Padrón family is always celebrating something. And when they do, smokers end up with a great new cigar. The Padrón Serie 1926 No. 90 is a perfect example. It celebrates the life of company patriarch José Orlando Padrón, who turned 90 in June and is still active in the company he founded. The cigar is Padrón in almost every way - it's dark (even this natural version), it's rich and it leaves the familiar bold impressions of cocoa, earth and coffee on the palate in the way that only a Padrón cigar can.... read more and order
Oliva Series V Melanio Robusto click picture to close
Rated 94 points and #8 Best Cigar of 2016. Many will remember that the Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado was named Cigar of the Year in 2014. The brand continues its trajectory of excellence with the Robusto. It’s a far more compact format, and perhaps more approachable, as not everyone is inclined to light up a large double figurado as their everyday smoke. The blend is centered around a Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador paired with Nicaraguan tobacco. This combination isn’t terribly common in the premium cigar world, but the Oliva Cigar Co. seems to understand the tobaccos and how they fit together for harmony and balance. The smoke is silky, sweet and, at times intense with toast and cedar. The brand name commemorates Melanio Oliva, who first grew tobacco in Cuba in the 1800s.... read more and order
La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Belicoso click picture to close
Rated #13 Best Cigar of 2016 with 93 points and #2 Best Cigar of 2011 with 95 Points. Of all its different versions and extensions, Mi Amor has been a perennial high-performer. The combination of dark, Mexican San Andrés wrapper with Nicaraguan filler has made it a go-to for fans of Nicaraguan cigars. The price is also attractive. Since the beginning, La Aroma de Cuba has promised to deliver the premium experience at a very reasonable price. This was Ashton’s vision for the brand, and the company has kept its word... read more and order
My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo Box Pressed click picture to close
Rated 97 points and #1 Best Cigar of 2015. It takes a profound understanding of cigar tobaccos to create a smoke that conveys uncanny impressions of dark chocolate-covered raisins, savory leather and a sweet-and-salty finish that resonates on the palate. This cigar has an ideal combination of power and finesse to make it No. 1. It’s the second Cigar of the Year for the Garcias.

The Garcia family of My Father Cigars regards their Flor de Las Antillas line as a tribute to their Cuban heritage.
